Friday Flaunt

Well in truth I didn't finish my quilt this week.
I managed to finish it just before we left for our holidays but I didn't have a chance to upload it.
The finished quilt looks completely different to the original plan and I am very happy with it.
Off to the longarmer next.

Welcome home, fantastic bargain holiday.
The quilt is stunning Cinzia.
I love it, who is it for.

At this stage I am planning on giving it to my eldest son when he gets married.. but as he isn't engaged yet he may get it for another occasion.... just waiting for him to get a house that has a large enough bed for it:)

It's absolutely stunning, Cinzia - your son is VERY lucky and I'm sure it will be treasured.

What a beauty! Excellent use of colour and shading. Is it your own design?

Thank you.

Most of it is my own design. I did a class several years ago but didn't like the original middle ( a vase of flowers) and the border that is now lattice (it was a swag).

The final two borders are also mine and were added after the class to take the quilt up to a usable size.

So what remains of the class is the sawtooth, the four patch and the border of multicoloured stars.
